Liquid Polymer Slurry Dispersions
Brine-Add manufactures stabilized liquid polymer dispersions from different polymers and for different applications. Our slurry technology continues to evolve as ongoing research and development continues to refine and improve the overall product line. The following are some of the typical polymers:
- Xanthan
- Poly-Anionic Cellulose (PAC) – both low viscosity (LV) and regular viscosity (RV)
- Guar Gum Dispersions
- Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) Dispersion
- Derivatized Starch
The typical benefits of polymer slurry dispersions include:
- Time saved by using polymer slurries over conventional powder polymer
- Ease of mixing requiring no hopper and moderate agitation
- Ideal for rigs with poor mixing equipment
- Less waste is associated with mixing these slurries than with powders
- Rapid hydration of polymer in slurry dispersion as compared with convention powdered polymer
- Carrier fluid is a blend of nontoxic oil
- Stabilized slurry means extended shelf life and less headaches when mixing the slurry
